Nicki Minaj The PinkPrint Perfume Review

Oml ... you will not believe how long I have been waiting for this ... months and months & then on the 26th August I was sooo happy when I finally ordered my PinkPrint Perfume. Which was exclusive to SuperDrug in a 50ml size (the biggest size they had at the time).

The Bag

So with the perfume you get a free bag which is always a bonus :) Nicki has released a new bag with all her fragrances so far (in the UK anyway) & with The PinkPrint we have this lovely white clutch bag.

PinkPrint Perfume Bag - Pattern

It has a white crocodile pattern made from polyurethane and has a lovely binding affect around the border of the bag made from the same fabric. This also has a silver chain around too adding to the detail of the bag, this also matches the silver chain wrist strap which is attached to the top next to the zip. Inside the bag is coated with a hot Pink polyester lining. There is no inside pockets or phone holders inside this bag, but it is a clutch bag so I expected that. Overall I like the bag & I feel it compliments the Perfume itself very well. It's perfect for a night out on the town where you don't want to take a big massive bag but still need a place to put money phone and keys, plus it's a really nice bag.

The Box

The Box to the perfume is absolutely gorgeous it's lovely and plain just like her Onika box. The front is plain white with the deluxe edition album cover as the main focus. This is a pink fingerprint which looks like it has been pressed in some sort of make-up possibly? It looks like a make-up powder finger print. Obviously meaning "The PinkPrint"  & above this it says

Which is the name of the perfume & is also the name of Nicki's most recent album, which was released latter end of 2014.

Underneath the pink fingerprint it has the perfume information just stating that it is perfume spray and the millage. Mine is 50 but you can get it in 30ml too & hopefully in the future it will be available in 100ml as well.

Moving round to the side the box changes completely to black which is the same as her standard version of the PinkPrint album cover with Nicki's name and the name of the perfume underneath with the famous PinkPrint font.

With the back of the box she has gone back to the Minajesty and Pink Friday boxes by having a picture of her on the back. Minajesty Exotic and Onika didn't have this the box was the same all round; but Nicki has gone back to this by having a photo taken from her Anaconda Photo Shoot (I think?) She's wearing a different top but the bracelets, make-up, hair and pose are all the same. I think they may have changed the top to black to match the colour scheme of the box. They have also darkened her nails and lip colour. These are the only differences in the pictures :) Then across the bottom is a PinkPrint banner with the name of the perfume and a little picture of the bottle on. Then underneath in the boarders of the back of the box there is the perfume information again.

Onika Bottle

The bottle itself is like a mixture between her Pink Friday Special Edition and Onika but with some small differences. Starting from the top she has the long white hair just like her Special Edition and she has stuck with the Gold face and Pink Lips she never misses these details with any of her perfume bottles. The actual bottle that the perfume is in is like Onika with it being crystal clear and only having a one colour outfit on.

The outfit that is on this bottle is unique to this bottle. She has the PinkPrint pattern as the main part of the outfit then it goes down like Onika into a nice strip of PinkPrint pattern near the bottom to make up the whole outfit. Just like Onika this outfit is only printed on the front it does not carry on round to the back of the bottle like her original Minajesty does.

The Gift Set's

I absolutely love the gift set boxes ... It has such a theatrical feel to it with the curtains down the side of the little window. 

PinkPrint Lotion

The pink and white is an ongoing colour scheme throughout the perfume and the perfume box. Inside this box you have a 30ml of the perfume which is the same bottle design as the 50ml & you have a body lotion with this particular gift set. The outside of this lotion is a hot pink with the pink fingerprint on the front of the lotion. The lotion smells exactly like the perfume and looks like a nice white coloured lotion with a slight shimmer in it. This gift set you can buy from boots.

The other gift set you can get also has a theatrical feel with the curtains down the two sides of the Windows to the makeup products and the perfume.

This gift set also has the 50ml PinkPrint perfume in too but this one has 2 lip pencils & a pencil sharpener in as well.

I did some swatches on my hand of the lip pencils to show the colours they come out as. They feel very creamy when applying but they aren't lipsticks because they aren't bold enough but they are nice to have in a going out bag just to apply when needed.

These would make great gifts for people and it's just in time for holiday season. Whether they want a perfume and a lotion or the perfume and make up products is up to you.

This gift set includes a 50ml of the Perfume instead of a 30ml. I was happy about this as it was the same price as a normal 50ml bottle is on it's own but with this gift set you get 2 lip pencils as well for the same price :D bargain !





The scent

mmmmm.... Fruity, Floral & Feminine. I think of a tropical rain forest when I smell it. The perfume first starts with an orangey scent ... as you continue to wear it goes more and more into a floral scent and then to fruity. it's a very warm scent and sits well. I do not get a headache from this as I know some perfumes can have that effect on people but this is not overpowering at all. It's strong enough for you to smell it for a long time though. The main notes from my nose are Orange, Coconut, Passion Fruit and Rose. The main notes from the actual perfume makers would probably be a tad different but that's what I can mainly smell as the perfume develops. The perfume then ends with a nice musk to finish it off. Nicki has used musk as a base note for nearly all of her perfumes. but most of the top notes are different. Ahh I love it, especially when it gets near the passion fruit and rose stage :D !! 

Nicki announced this perfume whilst she was on Good Morning America. Once she had been on the show she took to Instagram and said "This smells so good. It's by far my best!" therefore showing that this (in Nicki's opinion) is her best perfume so far compared to her others that she has released in the past. 

She then also states...

"My latest album takes you on a very real journey of my personal and emotional evolution over the last couple of years and the new fragrance does the same thing. The PinkPrint fragrance channels the raw energy of my music to create a scent that is unexpected, sexy, sophisticated, hypnotic and so many other things."
